I quote my twitter post which I made in the morning today
“Apple really can change lives, I left my car at office and took the train back home, just bcos I couldn’t stop listening to music on my ipod”
It was late at night when I left office, just because I wanted to escape rush hour traffic. The traffic gets terrible in the peak evening hours, especially at places where I enter the city limits. Exponential growth of vehicle population, poor infrastructure support, road construction sites which obstruct traffic all put together make the traffic even worse than it would have been. I was about to get into my car, when I realized I could take the train home. So then, I went over to the nearby station to aboard the suburban transit train. Waited for around 25 minutes for the train to arrive, really empty because it was around 8 and since it is one of the first stations on the path. I made myself comfortable, listening to music sitting near the window..
There was nothing I could see outside so I had to satisfy myself with the scenery inside the train. A few others from my office were in train as well (although, I didn’t know any of them…) There was a young boy returning from his college (most probably..) Few men who looked like they worked as accounting clerks in manufacturing companies (no offence…) and few young men who were loiterining around..The trip took around 1 hour as compared to 2 hours if I had driven home…
I got down at my station and walked home, listening to music looking at the lovely dark skies with twinkling stars above me..These are the small moments in life which make it worth living…
When I was sitting in the morning sitting in the hot train with the scorching heat so unbearable..and was sweating profusely…I missed my car so much…
